Lexikon Swedish - English Dictionary app for iPhone and iPad

The interface is user-friendly, the collection of words is the one you can find on Folkets Lexikons website and the developer is very helpful and ready to reply to any doubt/suggestion. I was looking for an app like this, and at last I found it!

Perfect app for students who wish to learn words their gramatical form and common used phrases. V2.0 added some nice improvements!

Best Swedish dictionary resource in all of the App Store. I have really nothing else to add beyond that, and normally I wouldnt shut up -- just look at my reviews for other apps iPad sync and subsequent iPad app would be great from this already brilliant app

Lexikon is the indispensable Swedish language learning app for the iPhone! Not only is it a great Swedish-English, and English-Swedish dictionary, it now has been updated to include more words and synonyms. Of course, it has all of the verb forms that are vital to students. Ive been using this app continuously since I began studying Swedish - well over a year - and I no longer carry around any dictionaries. The explanation and examples provided are especially useful since you have a chance to see how the word is defined in Swedish as well as an example also in Swedish. Importantly, the developer is very responsive and the two times that I contacted him about issues with the database, he got back to me within the same day and fixes were soon forthcoming. If I were to have just one Swedish language resource app on my phone, it is this one!

Lexikon makes looking up Swedish and English works quick and simple. I married a Swedish speaker and the Lexikon app has made a huge difference, allowing me to look up new words whenever I need them. Swedish-to-English and English-to-Swedish translations are equally simple thanks to the apps intuitive design. The app uses an online dictionary, which allows it to provide full definitions for all words and many examples while at the same time taking hardly any memory. Its also fast, taking about 1 second to look up a word. Ive had other smart phones in the past with Swedish/English dictionaries that had only shortened definitions that were of little use. Lexikons extensive definitions with examples and forms (tenses, plurals, etc.) are a huge help to those of us learning Swedish.

Its good to have faster access to Folkets, but it crashes and loses the cache...

You need to have internet connection when you search words. Only the words you viewed will be stored in the application. このアプリは単にネット上のスウェーデン英語辞書を参照するのみ。 ３５０円なので仕方ないですかね。。

I thought that downloading this would give me the ability to type in the special Swedish vowels... But no. Am I missing something??? Incredibly difficult to use a dictionary if you dont have access to 3 vowels. Unable to rate the app as a whole, since I havent really been able to use it.

This may be the best Swedish dictionary app, but about half the time I try to use it it says it cant connect to the Lexicon service. Not very useful so far.

Geez Louise. This app will save your words for a day or two and then delete them without your consent. Not just that, it sometimes doesnt even have the word youre looking for due to the bugs. Its so annoying. Save your money, and dont buy this useless app.

This app is NOT user friendly. You must TTP the entire word you are searching, the app does not accept partial spelling and will not propose words "starting with" a given four or five letter combination. The gender of Swedish words is not easy to find and very few idiomatic phrases are included. I am deleting this app.
